Women Prefer Smaller Breast Implants

Plastic surgeons are seeing more and more women swapping their larger breast implants for smaller, more conservative ones.

According to Dr. Stanley Gulin, a cosmetic surgeon in Naples, US, a growing number of women are losing faith in the concept that "bigger is better" when it comes to their breasts.

Women who downsize complain their breasts cause them back pains and get in the way of activities. Some women are simply looking for a slimmer appearance and a more natural look.

The benefits of smaller implants, chosen according to a woman’s height, weight, frame and lifestyle, go beyond just having a more natural appearance.

"You have less wear and tear on the tissue, the breast just keeps its shape much better, you don't have gravity working against that large implant," explains Dr. Gulin.
